Cerium-doped lanthanum bromide (LaBr3:Ce) is a scintillation crystal used in gamma ray detection. LaBr3(Ce) scintillators exhibit hHigh lHight output, short decay time, hHigh temperature stability, and superior to NaI(Tl) in efficiency and resolution. LaBr3Ce crystals are available in standard diameters ranging from 1" to 3".
